Winter Tournament. Day 3

Another great day for bowling with slight breeze and sunshine.  There was a prediction for late showers, so we made sure everyone started there games promptly at 10.30.

First game of the day saw all games with very even scores ranging from 6 to 14.  There was no clear leader.  The game finished around 12.30 and we all got tucked into our lunch so we could get out to finish our second game before those predicted rains came around 3pm.

Second game got underway at 1pm and when everyone found there bowling partner, the serious side of bowling was started.  We watched the dark clouds over the bay pass us by and by the end of the 12thend the winds picked up and it got a little cooler.

With everyone inside after 3pm, there was still no rain, but some didn’t want to take a chance and left to go home.  Score were tallied and we all gathered to hear who won on the day.

Would you believe it for the 3rd week running the major raffle prize winner won the money for the highest score of the day and it was none other than Bernie Turnbull.  Other highest scorer for the day was Rosemary Grace. Raffle prize winners were Bernie Turnbull and Robyn Cook.

Next week is the last game for this first tournament and the top three places are pretty close.

The sign up sheet for the second Tournament which runs from15th June to 6thJuly is now up on the board.  If you can’t get down to the club to sign up, contact Diane Cameron or Jeanette Barrett to put your name on the list.

AS I TYPE THIS REPORT AT 5.30pm THIS AFTERNOON, THE PREDICTED RAIN HAS STILL NOT FALLEN!!!!!!!!!!
