NIGHT PENNANT REPORT – TUESDAY 15th DEC 2020

A vastly different result this week with our Division 4 side having a win against Dandy Club, but sadly our Division 3 side had a loss against Parkdale.  Both teams played at home and the night was much cooler for those that had played earlier that day.

Our Division 3 side played Parkdale with one rink up and the other two were beaten.  Alan, Glenys, Ant & Rod won just 3 ends which included a 3 and a 2.  Many ends we were holding shot with the opposition knocking our bowls out. This rink had a 16 shot loss. Bobby, Jim, Shellie & Sally, gave the opposition a handy lead with them winning the first 6 ends.  A huge cheer erupted when this rink won the 7th end with a ONE.  They won another 5 ends but sadly had a 14-shot loss. Peter, Diane, Kaye, Colin won 10 ends on the night which were all multiples, including four 2’s, two 3’s, two 4’s, and two MAGIC 5’s.   A big win on this rink with 22 shots up, but not enough to get over the line for an overall win.  Edithvale lost by 8 shots overall

ALAN 7 – 23             BOBBY 6 – 20                       PETER 32 – 10

EDITHVALE  45                   PARKDALE 53

Our Division 4 side played Dandy Club and it was good to get a win on the board.  Margaret, Marika, Elwyn, and Ian had a win this week after having a draw the last two rounds.  They won 10 ends on the night with 6 multiples including one 3 and five 2’s.  They started well and stayed in front the whole game winning by 6 shots.  A great team effort with great bowling by all.  Ray, Andrew B, Andrew T and Jenni won 11 ends with 8 multiples, five 2’s, one 3, one 4 and a MAGIC 5. This rink also led from start to finish and won by 13 shots.  Ann, Helen, Barb, Danny, won 8 ends with three 2’s.  Down by 9 shots at the 12th end, they had a strong finish to just go down by 6 shots.  An overall team win by 19 shots.

ANN 11 – 17             MARGARET 17 – 11                       RAY 25 – 8
