A GREAT night for Edithvale Bowls Club Night pennant team with a great win over Mordialloc at Mordialloc.  After a loss to Mordialloc on Saturday and Tuesday Midweek it was a small redemption by the club.  Great effort by all players.

The team changed somewhat from the original team selection, but with a couple of phone calls and a nudge from the Team manager we had our team of 12 players.

Michael, Diane, Glenys and Rod only lost 4 out of 17 ends and had a 16 shot win.  Each member played their role well, adjusting their shots against a strong breeze and varying lengths.  The skip guided his team with encouraging words and great draw shots. (Shame that hat is nailed to his head!!)

Bobby, Shellie, Sally and Rod Houghton (fill in No. 1) struggled early in the game and were down 3-10, but a solid finish in the last 6 ends saw them take the lead and win by 6 shots.  Each player played some brilliant bowls and they dug deep to win the game.

Margaret (fill in No. 2), Ann, Doug and Peter had a tight tussle on their rink with the lead see-sawing most of the night.  But a strong finish and great bowling by the team saw them win by 3 shots.

This was our highest score so far this season.  Next week we play Keysborough at Chelsea.  This should be a great game as Keysborough are 2^nd on the ladder.
