Coming up at Edithvale

Well the pennant season is fast coming to an end. Congratulations to our teams who made the finals and well done to all that tried our best and made Edithvale proud.

There is still a lot happening around the club. Here are some dates for your diary

Tomorrow is our last Mid week pennant day. Don’t forget to bring a plate to share for afternoon tea.

Wednesday, the 11th of March we have our first club championships to be played under lights. Well done to the finalists of the men’s and women’s triples and the New Bowlers championships.

Saturday we have our 2nd team playing a final at Keysborough. It would be great to have some members along to support them.

On March 18th, we will be having our last Twilights for the season. The theme is Nursery Rhymes. It is mufti or wear your favourite Nursery Rhyme outfit.

Dinner will be One potato, two potato, baked potatoes followed by Georgie Porgie Pie. Cost $15. Please put your names on the sheet at the club.

Don’t forget to put your Baguley entries in. We need them as soon as possible, so planning can get under way.

Lastly, Diane has been busy sending out AGM notices for April 5th.

There are quite a few vacancies available for Board and Bowling Committee  members. Please think about how you might assist the club by taking on a role. At this stage we have 2 nominations for Saturday Selection and one nomination for the board. If you can help, please get someone to nominate you and put it on the boards. Thank you.

Finaly, thank you to everyone who has helped with this season, especially the Selection Committees. Their job is not always easy and can cause a lot of discussion and at times dissatisfaction. However the success of this year is testament to their work. Congratulations to all.

Good Luck to everyone in the finals.
