The Big Build Continues; Lift Your Skills, Lift the Enjoyment in Your Bowling !

Well done to the dedicated bowlers who enjoyed another engrossing day of skills training.

In lovely (perfect) bowling weather, 14 players took on the five challenging skills tests set up by our coaching panel and took another significant step in the never-ending (and probably not totally achievable) quest for bowling perfection.

The simple self-scoring system that we use allows bowlers to see their improvement within the two rounds of training – and it was very gratifying to see the scores improve across the session.

The coaching panel had spent quite some time in planning the training session and are to be congratulated on another day of relevant, practical – and enjoyable – training. Thank you to Ray Weston, Claire Baskett, Garry Byers, Norm Lewis and John Paul for their efforts.

We have 3 training sessions left and if you have not yet joined in, then you are missing a great opportunity to build your skill set.

Strong Skills Session Sets Up a Super Season

Congratulations to the 21 bowlers who took part in Sunday’s skills session.

On a day when the “weather-gods” smiled upon us with perfect bowling weather, all players enthusiastically embraced each drill, realising the benefits that will come from challenging their skill-sets.

A huge thank you to our coaches – Ray Weston, Garry Byers, Norm Lewis, John Paul, Kingsley Ellis – for their creativity and energy in developing such testing drills.

Our next session is on Sunday, August 27 commencing at 1:00 pm.

These sessions present an opportunity that you don’t want to miss; to really home in on your skills, challenging you to improve – and have some fun along the way.

Please make sure that you put your name on the sign-up sheet in the club rooms, and start your journey to a satisfying season.

And……. Jim Kavanagh shows how his skills have benefited. A perfect 10 points for this super shot!!
