Tuesday Twilight Bowls, as the mist rolled in (photos inc)

On the first Tuesday of each month, Tuesday social bowls moves to the 7pm timeslot so as to allow our bowlers that work to participate. Our next Twilight bowls will be Tuesday 2nd June.

We have a very good attendance last night with 18 bowlers participating. These numbers may have been helped by the fact that we had Suzanne Webber giving a short presentation before the match on the duties of a marker. This was particularly aimed at our novice bowlers who are participating in the Bowls Vic Novice Carnival this weekend who will have to mark for the first time, but anyone could attend a quite a few did.

We managed to get 14 ends in although at one point I thought it may have to be called off due to the amount of mist that had rolled in. Winners on the night with the highest winning margin was the team of Sally King, Janienne Woodbridge and Chris Dickinson.

We then adjourned inside for some homemade soup and bread to warm us up. Thanks to Diane for organizing the bowling and Ann Higgins for helping me with supper.
